Stakes (Extrapolating)
Extrapolated notes. In a mostly English-facing master’s (course titles, papers, stacks), languages are not a “TOEIC bonus”: they are the ability to produce — papers, GitHub issues, design reviews, defenses — and to collaborate in mixed FR/EN teams (or another L2/L3).
Shared page for both M1 and M2 index rows.
Place in the 2-year path
M1: secure written/oral production during early reports and orals. M1 · P3 / M2: scientific English for the research internship, LLM/GNN readings, then an international or bilingual final internship.
Industry and research links
Industry: technical docs, RFCs, incident calls, international clients. Research: abstracts, peer review, conferences; French remains useful for national reports / CIFRE / doctoral colleges.
How to approach it
- Reuse course vocabulary (attention, message-passing, calibration) in short target-language talks.
- Keep a personal FR↔︎EN glossary of track terms.
- Practise on the track’s own deliverables: each Year-2 end-of-year project proposed in these notes asks for a workshop-style paper in English and a one-page French executive summary. This is the communication side of objective O7.
Extrapolating Shared M1/M2 framing; the language offer is that of the campus language programme.
